Rationale
This site is devoted both to the work of one student of theology and lover of God (Gk. theophile) and to the challenge of teaching others to be students of theology and lovers of God. It takes its inspiration from the prologues to Luke and Acts, where the challenge of setting forth an "orderly account" (systematics, anyone?) of the events connected to and centered on Jesus Christ is first stated.
Bio
I'm a native Californian who married a woman from France, studied at Cambridge University, and taught at Edinburgh University before settling down in the Midwest to raise two daughters, supervise dozens of doctoral candidates, and teach hundreds of TEDS students.
Employment
